SRC Artist - Chris Tougas
This year's illustrator is Chris Tougas.
Chris is a writer-illustrator who loves dogs, the great outdoors, writing fun stories and making art. He was born in Santa Monica, California. He has studied art and animation in both Canada and the US, and has worked in film animation at Disney and other studios.
Chris lives and works in Victoria. For the last 10 years Chris has worked as both a concept developer and character designer for film, television and new media companies such as Disney, Warner Brothers, Universal, Sesame Workshop, Bardel Entertainment, Animation Lab, Nelvana, Fox and many others.
Awards
Honorable Mention for the 2008 CLA's Amelia Frances Howard-Gibbon Award for children's book illustration. Winner of the 2008 Alcuin Award for excellence in book design.
